Health Informatics is a multi-disciplinary field that comes at the intersection of computer science, information science, social science, behavioral science and health care. The field is primarily concerned with the techniques, methods, devices and ICT technologies which are employed to optimize the acquisition, storage, retrieval, processing and analyzing of information in the healthcare and medical domains. In particular, health informatics is driven by computers, information and communication systems.
